EPLO Statement on Reforming Civilian Common Security and Defence Policy

The statement summarises EPLO’s policy paper on civilian CSDP which analyses how civilian CSDP can contribute to the reduction of violent conflict and to long-term peacebuilding in conflict-affected countries.

It includes recommendations regarding areas for reform of CSDP, possible scenarios for its future development and provides suggestions for specific deliverables – decisions to be taken by Member States – on civilian CSDP at the European Council Summit in December 2013.
